This image is made in honor of the “life-givers” that have been taken from our community in the hope to shed light on the systemic issues that plague our people, specifically, Native women. Bringing awareness of the many missing and murdered Indigenous women.
The name Lisa is a derivative of the Hebrew name Elizabeth meaning "Creator's Promise".
A Native American depiction based on the American iconic "Mona Lisa" painting by Leonardo DaVinci. In this version, Thunder Voice Eagle does a rendition from a Native American perspective. Merging both worlds. To focus commentary on the many missing and murdered Indigenous women, children, and two-spirit people.
